Microsoft has revealed a new Xbox controller that is made from recycled old plastics and first-generation Xbox One controllers.

Microsoft has recently announced a new Xbox Controller variant that is made with sustainability in mind, just in time for Earth Day.

The new Xbox Wireless Controller – Remix Special Edition is a controller made from recovered plastics, one-third of which comes from recycled controllers and reclaimed materials. First generations Xbox controllers and plastics from items such as headlights covers, plastic water jugs, and CDs make up the new gaming peripheral.

Taking the sustainability initiative, a step further, Microsoft is also including an Xbox Rechargeable Battery Pack with the new controller, hoping to limit the amount of single use batteries gamers are using.

The controller will be available on April 18, just days ahead of Earth Day 2023 on April 22.
